Motorola‘s mid-range stylus-carrying smartphone lineup gains a new member today. Introducing the aptly called Moto G Stylus 5G (2024). This phone was first leaked in January and is now officially available in North America.
It includes an enhanced stylus with a redesigned design, a wider contact area, and updated software for faster and easier use. Latency has been reduced, note-taking has been streamlined, and there is now a new user interface for accessing stylus-related capabilities. You can choose from a variety of apps, and your favorites will show as soon as you pull out the pen.
Moto Note supports optical character recognition (OCR), allowing you to take text from a written or printed document and digitize it for editing or reuse.
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) features a 6.7-inch 1080×2400 P-OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, and peak brightness of 1,200 nits. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
The phone’s cameras include a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 13 MP f/2.2 ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view, and a 32 MP f/2.4 selfie camera. You also get dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) measures 162.56 x 74.752 x 8.295 mm, weighs 190 grams, and runs Android 14. It will be available in two colors: caramel latte and scarlet wave.
It will be available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorla’s own web store beginning May 30 for $399.99. Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket, Boost Infinite, Boost Mobile, Consumer Cellular, UScellular, Spectrum, Xfinity Mobile, Google Fi Wireless, and Optimum Mobile will all provide it right now, with Straight Talk and Total by Verizon following a few weeks later.
In Canada, the phone will initially be available only from Motorola for CAD 499.99, with “select carriers and national retailers” picking it up later.
