Hello, tech enthusiasts! Today I’m here with itel P70 review, a budget smartphone that’s been creating quite a buzz in the market.
With a price tag of PKR 25,000 (available in the market for as low as PKR 24,000), the biggest highlight of the itel P70 is its massive 10,000mAh battery, which has been plastered all over its box. But the real question is — is it worth buying? I’ve used the phone and today I’ll share my personal experience with you all. Let see itel P70 review in full details.
itel P70 Review

First Impressions & Design
Let’s keep our expectations in check — this is a budget category phone, so you can’t expect miracles. The design is just okay. Interestingly, I found the previous itel P65 had a better and more stylish look. It featured a ring light effect and a more interactive button setup.
The silver color on the P70 gives off a glossy finish, but it’s highly prone to smudges. Thankfully, itel includes a basic blackish transparent case in the box which helps.
The Performance Disappointment
Here’s where the real disappointment begins.
If you’re an existing itel P65 user, you’d probably be shocked at how much of a downgrade this is. The P65 featured the Unisoc T615 chipset, which offered performance comparable to MediaTek’s Helio G85 or even G91 Ultra.
Â
In contrast, the P70 comes with a Helio G50 Ultimate, which is essentially a rebranded Helio G36 — a chipset I’ve explicitly recommended avoiding. The performance gap is evident in benchmarks: the AnTuTu score dropped from around 190,000 in the P65 to just 150,000 in the P70.
This phone lags, hangs, and crashes during even basic tasks. Apps freeze, settings take forever to open, and the whole experience feels underwhelming. Even though it comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage (eMMC), it doesn’t help because the chipset is the bottleneck.
It’s like making biryani with potatoes instead of chicken — the main ingredient is missing!
Battery Gimmick – 10,000mAh or Just a Marketing Trick?
On the box, it boldly claims a 10,000mAh battery, but the reality is a bit of a marketing gimmick.
The phone actually has a 6,000mAh internal battery. The additional 4,000mAh comes in the form of a battery case — a detachable pack you can connect to the phone. While it’s a unique touch and I appreciate the creativity, what’s the use of extra battery life if the phone struggles to even run basic apps?
Display, Camera & Software
- Display: A 6.67-inch HD+ (720p) IPS display with a punch-hole design. It supports 120Hz refresh rate but in practice, it only performs well at 60Hz. The UI menu may show 90Hz briefly, but media playback (like YouTube at 1080p) struggles badly.
- Cameras:
- Rear: Triple camera setup (only one real sensor).
- Front: 8MP selfie camera — average quality at best.
- It also includes an IR blaster (can be used as a remote control).
- Software: It ships with Android 14 out of the box. While some brands are already offering Android 15, this phone doesn’t even promise future updates.
- Biometrics & Connectivity:
- The fingerprint scanner works well.
- VoLTE support is present.
- NFC is not supported.
- Wi-Fi and call recording are included.
Final Verdict: Not Recommended
Let me be brutally honest — I do not recommend the itel P70. Even if you’re on a tight budget, PKR 24,000 is still money that deserves better value. You can live with a smaller battery if the phone gives you a reliable, smooth experience — but here, you’re sacrificing performance entirely for battery life you probably won’t even use to its full potential.
Brands need to understand — phones aren’t just about gimmicks like washing machine tests or battery cases. The real performance and daily usability matter the most.
itel P70 = All hype, no heart.
Let’s Recap:
Pros:
- 6000mAh battery + additional battery case
- Decent display for the price
- Android 14 out of the box
- Reliable fingerprint scanner
Cons:
- Underpowered Helio G50 Ultimate chipset
- Laggy and slow performance
- Poor camera quality
- 10,000mAh claim is misleading
