Weekly poll results: Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is a hit, no Google services is still a concern

The lack of Google Play Services is still a concern for many, but last week’s survey shows that Huawei did not lose Mojo – especially the new Pura 80 Ultra is quite desirable. However, for many people, the word may not be fully accessible or metaphorically.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra received a very hot welcome. If Huawei is still using Google -connected Android, it could have been one of the best -selling premium phones this year. Still, Google Play Access is not access. When Huawei was embargoed by the US, he had to shrink the global distribution network and still hasn’t healed.

There was a discussion about the overly complex telephoto camera – many of them felt that Huawei’s marketing could be clearer. The camera offers a 3.7x and 9.4x zoom option, but cannot shoot full resolution of longer focus length. Large 1/1.28 ”50MP sensor can be fully used at 3.7x, but in 9.4x mode, it makes a 2x crop that limits the resolution to 12.5MP.

Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ are mainly different for the second more advanced satellite messaging support. And still the Pura 80 Pro+ was the open favorite – showing that satellite messaging would be a more important feature. Anyway, both models were not as popular as ultra, but they did well.

Finally, Vanilla Huawei Pura received an amazing number of votes – you are used to seeing that the vanilla model took cold shoulders (unlike pro and pro+, there is an advantage to divide votes).

The usual issues are valid for the entire Pura 80 family. Some said that applications such as Gbox will replace Google Play services and allow you to run Google applications (and other applications based on Google APIs).

Nevertheless, if any problems occur, you will be on your own. This also applies to warranty – if you import a Pura 80, repair and service will be difficult. And finally, 5G band support is a problem in some regions.

Even with all this, there is a good reason why Huawei is the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer. And phones like Pura 80 family is a good reminder.

If you are not deterred from the lack of Google services, mark your calendar on July 10 – this is the global launch of the Huawei Mate 80 series. We are not sure whether four models will be present (Pro+ a long snack). In addition, we have not seen any ads in the EU – but fans in South America, Africa and Asia can look forward to new camera flagships.
