Kuo shares detailed roadmap for Apple’s smart glasses and next Vision headsets

Apple analyst was noted Ming-Chi Kuo Apple’s vision headphones and upcoming smart glasses released a new roadmap estimate. Apple apparently comes out of everything on the smart glasses front without being developed at least four models.

First, it will be a rail-Ban commodity rival with camera and video recording features, speakers and audio-controlled user interface and AI features. The quarter is expected to enter mass production in 2027, and Kuo estimates that Apple will reach 3-5 million units in 2027.

The first generation of apple glasses will offer several material coating for temples and frames. Apple’s first smart glasses entry is expected to increase the demand for the smart glasses category in other brands, and the product category is expected to reach 10 million posts in 2027.

Apple also works on silicone (LCOS) screens, sound controls and gestures on liquid crystalline expanded reality (XR) glasses. These are expected to enter mass production in the second quarter 2028.

Kuo also talks about an additional “screen accessory” couple connected to an Apple device including an iPhone. They had to enter mass production in the quarter of 2026, but now it is being paused in terms of treatment.

The Vision series is receiving new models with the updated Vision Pro, equipped with the Apple M5 chipset to be released later this year. Apparently, mass production will soon begin in the third quarter (July-September) and is expected to produce 150,000-200,000 units.

Apple apparently does not start any new visual device in 2026, but Kuo believes that there are at least three new headsets to be released in 2027 and 2028.

Vision Air is expected to arrive in 3, 2027 with a light form factor with a 40% lighter than Vision Pro (600-650 grams). In order to reduce weight reduction, “iPhone Class Processor” will be equipped with magnesium alloy chassis, less sensor and plastic optics. This version is expected to gain a wider charm among consumers and naturally will come with a lower starting price.

The second generation of Vision Pro is expected to enter with a renewed design, with a new M-Class chip with a mass production, lighter design and less scary price tag in the second quarter of 2028.
